Panel materials

Aluminum: hood
Steel: roof, fenders, doors, quarter panels, lower liftgate
Fiberglass: upper liftgate

The hood is aluminum, and aluminum panels need specialized aluminum PDR technique. The roof, fenders, doors, quarter panels and lower liftgate are steel. The upper liftgate is fiberglass.

Extreme dismantle

Extreme hail jobs can call for an extreme dismantle of the vehicle: major disassembly for access, such as dropping the headliner, removing glass, and taking off trim and lights. On this CTS the headliner was dropped for roof access.
