Auto Hail Repair

Auto hail repair

After a hail storm, a lot of people wait and hope the dents “aren’t that bad.” The most common mistake we see is simple: they don’t document the damage, and they don’t file an insurance claim. That delay can cost them options later.

Do not try to fix the hail dents yourself. DIY hail repair does more damage than good.

What usually goes wrong

When you file a claim and we’re involved, things usually go fine — unless the car already has an old hail claim that was never repaired. Leftover unrepaired damage from a previous claim is what trips people up.

Your first visit

On the first visit we do a full shop inspection under the lights. We detail every dent and every molding. Every panel gets inspected under PDR lights before any tools come out. Then we’re honest about what we see.

Repair or body shop

If the car is repairable with paintless dent repair, we’ll offer to schedule you. If it’s not repairable that way, a body shop is required — and we’ll suggest a local area shop.

Pricing and your insurance

Hail pricing depends on the carrier. Each insurance company writes its own language and its own matrix, so we need your insurance information up front. When you call about hail, we need your insurance company at minimum.

Insurance isn’t required to get a repair — but paying out of pocket is very expensive. DIY isn’t smart either: insurers pay, but they don’t pay the same full price when they’re dealing with an individual as they do when they’re dealing with a repair facility mid-repair.

What we promise first-timers

We handle the claim from start to finish. We restore the car to pre-storm condition. We deal directly with the insurance company so you don’t have to chase them.

What you leave with

When the job is done, you walk away with your invoice — and the photo images and proof of repairs all come with that invoice.

One fix that helps most people

Choose an independent shop. Don’t just listen to your insurance company.

Body shop referrals

When paintless repair isn’t the right path, we suggest a local area body shop.
